At kinward, we have watched with curiosity and care as universities and research hospitals increasingly integrate complementary and alternative health practices, such as yoga, mindfulness, acupuncture, and energy healing, alongside conventional medicine. These developments reflect a growing recognition of the deep interconnection between body, mind, and spirit.
We have also observed a growing interest towards ancient Celtic spiritual traditions, particularly as they inform contemporary reflections on our relationship to and responsibility for the Earth, and the Earth’s relationship to our bodies.
With this same spirit of curiosity and integration, we are offering Energy healing and Celtic Spirituality, facilitated by Beverly Vaughn, PhD.
This workshop explores the interweaving of teachings teachers like St. Brigid, Pelagius, Eriugena, Muir and Knox, with select practices of the energy of words, thoughts and sound, Reiki, Grounding both physical and metaphysical and Huna, offering practical tools for exploring how our bodies, our spirits, and the living Earth are intimately connected.
While these practices themselves do not arise from a Christian tradition, its understanding of energy, embodiment, and sacred presence resonates deeply with themes surrounding nearness of the Divine, the holiness of creation, and the sacredness of the body as a site of divine presence within us and among us.
The experience will be highly experiential, integrating Reiki, Sound and affirmation, Grounding and Huna along with small ways of helping yourself through anxiety and body pain with tangible practices of embodied awareness, sacred presence, and relational healing.
