What does the word intelligence mean to you?

If you grew up or live in the west you likely first associate intelligence with the mind. If you attend or have attended church, you may be familiar with a faith model that emphasizes intellectual ascent to God. At Second Breath, we practice a different way of knowing – what we call three-centered intelligence: of body, of heart, and of mind.

When asked, “What is the greatest commandment?” Jesus of Nazareth responded: “Love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.”

This half-day workshop offers an introductory understanding of the three centers of intelligence. Through teaching, spiritual practices, inquiry, and calling circle, participants will explore how the three centers function when in harmony; how our experience changes when our three centers are out of alignment; and ways to center within and develop an inner felt sense of the wisdom in each of the three centers.

This workshop is facilitated by Summer Estes, a long-time student and teacher with Second Breath Center/Servant Leadership School. A licensed psychotherapist and breathwork facilitator, she brings 20 years experience in the healing arts supporting others in deep inner work through perennial wisdom, somatic, and mindfulness practices.
