Ellen Lloyd

Ellen Bryant Lloyd is an award-winning children’s book author, publisher, and literacy advocate based in Greensboro, NC. She is the creator of the FRECKLES® children’s book series, whose titles have received the Mom’s Choice Award, Moonbeam Children’s Book Award, and Indie Excellence in Publishing Award, among others. She also ghostwrites memoirs and contributes regularly to Triad Moms on Main, where her columns “Ellen’s Book Nook” and “A Mindful Mom” reflect her love of literature and contemplative living.
A graduate of UNC Greensboro, Ellen began her career at the Greensboro News & Record before following her lifelong passion for writing and storytelling. She brings to kinward a deep love of contemplative practice, a helper’s heart, and a gift for creating space where people feel seen and welcomed. She is also a Certified Veriditas® Labyrinth Facilitator.
