Kim Bunce
Guest Facilitator, Death Doula, End-of-Life Coach
Kim Bunce had an extensive career teaching in both public and non-profit special education programs. In this newest chapter of her life, which she calls “recreation,” she is utilizing her call as an sacred passage end-of-life coach and death doula. In addition to working with clients she also serves the community as a facilitator for conversations around death and dying (Death Cafes and Adult Formation courses/workshops).
After the deaths of her parents and mother-in-law, she became impassioned about advocating for individual and family rights around the death and dying process; more specifically, holding space and curiosity for alternative options to the cultural (and traditional) systems put forth. While training to become a sacred passage coach and death doula, she recognized the parallel between conscious dying and the wisdom teachings of conscious living taught in Second Breath course offerings.
As an end-of-life specialist, she provides the opportunity for others to imagine living as they truly desire so they may have autonomy at their end-of-life. When she’s not coaching/teaching, you can find Kim in her garden interacting with and learning from nature. One of her creative outlets involves designing tussie-mussies with flowers she has grown and shares with others.
She and her husband enjoy traveling and are beekeepers.
